The Wednesday Group, is a social group of men and women who, as its name suggests, meet in the Parish Hall on Wednesday afternoons from 2 - 4pm. We engage in a variety of handicrafts as we chat and share our latest bits of news over a cup of tea or coffee.
We support Fr. Gerald in our twin parish of Evander, especially with knitting & sewing of blankets, for the babies and young children.
We occasionaly hold fundraising events when we sell our handicrafts and items of bric-a-brac. The proceeds going either to the cost of sending the parcels to Fr. Gerald or to our own parish needs.
We are very willing to accept commissions for knitting or needlework - just let us know what your handicraft needs are - and we will try to fullfill them.
Visitors and new members are always welcome, just come along or contact Mary Wheatley if you would like more information.
