Altar Servers have a special ministry in the Church. It is their privilege to assist the priest at the Altar.

At Our Lady of Compassion, Servers serve Mass on a rota basis on Saturday evenings, Sunday mornings and on other special occasions during the week. New Servers undergo a period of induction and training after which they are enrolled as members of the Servers' Guild of St. Stephen.

Altar serving is open to anyone who has made their First Communion - boys and girls, men and women. lf you are interested in becoming an Altar Server, please speak to or email Patrick Draper, parish MC.
