APF - Association for the Propagation of the Faith

The APF works to provide pastoral care and to preach the Gospel throughout the world. The Catholic Church has more than a thousand mission dioceses and territories worldwide and the APF is the official mission-funding organisation for the whole Catholic Church.

In England and Wales the APF works with the Mill Hill Missionary Society, and its missionaries, priests, lay brothers and associates work in 27 countries, on each continent.

Funds for the Missions are collected via an annual Mission Sunday collection, Direct Debit donations and red collection boxes of which there are around 170,000 in England and Wales. In Saffron Walden, more than 60 homes have one of these famous Red Boxes.
