The sacrament of Confirmation is prepared for in the parish community as directed by the bishop.
The bishop comes to each parish for this sacrament every three years. Additionally special permission is given for the parish priest to confirm at Pentecost.
At Baptism we became members of God’s family, sons and daughters of the Father, brothers and sisters of Christ, temples of the Holy Spirit. At Confirmation we take on new responsibilities in the Body of Christ, which is the Church.
Confirmation is beginning. In the sacrament we receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the grace Our Lord Jesus Christ won for us on the Cross, the help we need to live our lives as adult Christians.
At what age can I be confirmed?
The Parish invites students registered in the Parish in Year 9 to enrol for Confirmation along with any other member of the Parish who has not been confirmed and is aged 14 or over as at 4th June 2017
